Spring is definitely here, or at least it was for a few days. Moving into the warmer months when the daffodils and tulips begin to bloom and the days get longer, the world just becomes a little brighter. As we come out of hibernation, with this new-found positivity, why not dabble in a spot of fundraising for a good cause.
If you’re looking for some Spring fundraising inspiration, look no further. Here are 5 of our favourite Spring fundraising ideas!
1. Do Something EGGStraordinary
Make the most of Easter and hold an event. You could do an Easter egg hunt, hold an egg and spoon race, put on an egg-decorating event, have an easter egg raffle. You could even put on event with egg-related activities and charge an entry fee.
2. Grab Some Fresh Air
There are lots of outdoor charity events popping up all over the place. Sign yourself up for a run, a walk, a bike ride, a swim. You’ll get the benefit of all that fresh air and sort out your fitness in the process. If you can’t find one you fancy, why not organise your own event and get your friends to join in or sponsor you.
3. Throw An Easter Bake-Off
Cake sales always go down a treat. You could have an Easter or Springtime theme – lots of chocolate cakes and biscuits or buns with flower decorations, or maybe an easter bunny biscuit or two. You could even host a coffee morning to help make some sales.
4. Spring Clean Your Life
It’s a great time of year to de-clutter your life and clean out your home and garage, your wardrobe, or even that shed or cupboard that is overflowing with those gadgets you never use – the pasta maker, the yoghurt-making machine, the electronic juicer. Have a good old clear out and set up a sale. You’ll be making money for a good cause as well as recycling unused items.
5. Don Your Gardening Hat
Why not help out some of your neighbours and make some money at the same time. You could mow the lawn, do some weeding, trim some hedges, power hose a patio, or perhaps wash a car. You’ll be out in the sunshine and you never know, you might find a new passion for gardening.
